October was a great busy month with our fall break and arriving back in the library to the Book Fair and the school fall festival. With the help of Southwest families, we raised over $1,000 in cash and $400 in book value from the book fair that will be added to the library collection.
We kicked off a new fundraiser with Penxagon Tech to sell zip drives. The school receives 20% of every sale. This fundraiser will run through May so there is lots of time to buy for holiday gifts or birthdays or your special graduate!! The zip drives are available in 14 colors and can be personalized. Really neat with several size choices. The profits will also help build our library collection so students can be exposed to more titles and authors.
